I'm about ready for Spring! How about you guys? This time of year, it's always so hard for me to balance Spring Style with the need to stay warm. In Boulder, Colorado the weather could be 70 degrees Fahrenheit one day and snowing the next.
I'm a basics girl in every season and I don't mean that I live in jeans and t-shirts even though that's what's pictured here. To me basics mean a calm and dusty color palette with natural colors like nude, creme, charcoal gray and sea blue.
Each year as Spring whispers that blooms are just around the corner, I want to match that energy! Just as bright pops of color enter winter landscape, so too do I love to add bright, sometimes neon, pops of color to my style. Here I'm wearing matte, fluorescent pink lipstick. It's called "SHIAP" from NARS.
My bright ellie t-shirt is from the Merona brand at Target. I love that while the elephants are highly detailed and beaming with color, they form a classic and fun polka dot pattern that isn't too busy. That little pop of neon color adds interest to my outfit which is otherwise full of neutrals. I love how this pattern looks almost hand drawn and the ellies make me so happy.
Spring fills me with so much wonder! I love seeing those baby blossoms bloom, so fragile and delicate. Then the snow comes and they fade away, only to be encored by the next round of the floral symphony.
